SOMES, Roberta “Lillian” (Gatecliff) age 82 passed away peacefully at Sumac Lodge, Sarnia on September 11, 2024.Beloved wife of Fred Somes. Loving mother of Patricia Ward. Dear grandmother to Daryl (Nicole) and Lindsay. Dear great-grandmother to Summer, Jace and Zak. Dear sister to Pauline, Norma, Ila, Grant (Bonnie) and Kerry (Dave). Dear sister-in law to Nettie. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Bob and Alice Gatecliff. Her sister Lena (Johnny) MacDonald. Her niece Brenda Drouillard, nephew Matthew Kettle and great niece Danielle Mezzatesta. Her brother in-laws, Lloyd Stokes, Dick Kettle, Terry Boshaw. Her sister and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Don) Cooper, Marie (Cliff) Lumley, Dean Nutt, Charlie Somes and Jacob Somes. We are eternally grateful to all who have supported and assisted Lillian and her family in her last years. Your time, understanding, expertise, generosity and kindness were very much appreciated, Thank you. The Family of Lillian Somes.
Funeral Details
A private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Sarnia and District Humane Society (sarniahumanesociety.com).
