SHEPPARD, Albert Leslie age 75 of Petrolia, formerly of Moore Township, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday September 11, 2009 at Bluewater Health Norman Street Site, Palliative Care Unit. Loving husband and best friend of Effie Marie (Thompson) Sheppard for 56 years. Beloved father of: Edna Marie and her husband John Kerrigan, Brooke-Alvinston; Marilyn Ann and her husband Gordon Byers, Calgary, Alberta; William Lyle and his wife Bonnie, Olds, Alberta; James Leslie and his wife Carrie, Brigden. Dear grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Vera (late Allen) Johnston of Wyoming, 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Predeceased by his parents Reg (1982) and Jean (Morrison) (1991) Sheppard. Leslie drove transport for Bulk Carriers for almost 35 years and also farmed on the Eighth Line of Moore for the majority of his life.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME Brigden on Sunday September 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
The funeral service will be held on Monday September 14, 2009 at 1:00pm from the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Robert Gibson will be officiating. Interment in Bear Creek Cemetery.
