PETTIT, RUBY BLANCHE (GORTON), Age 95, of Sarnia, formerly of Brigden Area passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday July 3, 2009 at Marshall Gowland Manor, Sarnia. Beloved wife of Stewart Pettit for 75 years. Loving mother of late Nancy Jane (2008) (Jack) Brown, Brigden; Ross (Kathy) Pettit, Corunna; Wayne (Gail) Pettit, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Gary (Nancy) Brown, Joanne (Gord) VanDoorn, Jim (Kathy) Brown, Chris (Stacey) Brown, Colleen (Mike) Lapier, Michael (Leneath) Pettit, Kelly (Bridey) Pettit, Shane (Lenora) Banfield, and the late Terri and Aaron Pettit. Dearly missed by several great-grandchildren. Survived by Dorothy Pettit and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Nancy (Sinclair) Gorton, brother Floyd Gorton and sisters Hazel Fournie and Lula Buckingham.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME BRIGDEN on Monday July 6, 2009 from 11:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Sandra Fogarty officiating. Interment Black Creek Cemetery.
