MITCHELL, “Betty” Mary (nee St. John) – It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Mitchell on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Twin Lakes Terrace, Sarnia at the age of 96. Predeceased by husband Wilford Mitchell (2020). Beloved mother of Linda (Bill) Reid, Rosemary (Doug) George, Bob (Susan) Mitchell, Larry (Bobbie) Mitchell and Cheryl Sullivan (Wes Lockhart). Beloved grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 34, and great great grandmother of 3 with two more on the way. Survived by sister-in-laws Joy St. John, and brother-in-laws Lorne Mitchell, and Stew (Jan) Mitchell. Dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son William Mitchell (2015), parents John St. John and Vi St. John, brother Lloyd St. John, sister Joyce St. John, in-laws Charles and Emily Mitchell, sister-in-laws Kathleen Middleton, Edna Mitchell and Hazel Hull, and brother-in-laws Bill Hull, Claire Middleton and Lyle Mitchell. A special thank you to all the staff at Twin Lakes Terrace nursing home.
Funeral Details
Friends and family will be received for visitation on Saturday July 29, 2023 from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service to follow at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, BRIGDEN. Interment will take place at Oil Springs Cemetery following the service.
