MCCALLUM, Delbert John – With great sorrow, the family of Delbert John McCallum, of Oil Springs, announce his passing after a long illness, on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia, Continuing Care in his 78th year. Delbert was born in Brooke Township, the son of the late John and Myrtle (Adams) McCallum, raised by the late Richard and Fanny (Stewardson) Adams. Beloved husband of Mary (Wagner) McCallum. Loving father of Neil and Janet of Lambeth, Lynn and Udo Seltner of Lambton Shores and Ivan and Sue of Oil Springs. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Katie, Jamie, Lucas and Gus. Dear brother of Donelda Stephenson of Sarnia, Charles and Jean McCallum of Petrolia, Doris Davis of Watford and brother-in-law of Grace Adams of Oakdale, Marg McCallum of Petrolia, Audrey Wagner of Rutherford, Fay and Ralph Stevens of Parry Sound, Shirley Woodburn of Parkhill, Ken Wagner of Petrolia and Kay Wagner of Petrolia. Predeceased by Wilbert and Aileen McCallum, Ruby and Ray McPhail, Evelyn and George Jarvis, Stan Davis, Dalton (twin) McCallum, Allan and Evelyn Adams, Harvey Adams and Marie and Dan Candish. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Delbert was an avid coon hunter, fox hunter and raced horses.

SERVICE
At Delbert’s request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date in Oil Springs Cemetery.
