Bonnie Ellen Alexandera (McFalls) Lester
July 28th 1931 – April 6th, 2025
Passed away peacefully in her own home on April 6 2025, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Donald Ross Lester. Also predeceased by her parents Alexander and Florences McFalls, sister Birdine McFalls, daughter in law Phyllis and infant son Robert. She will be dearly missed and remembered by her family. Loving mother to Alan (Marg) and Charlene (Colin). Cherished grandmother to Robert (Wendy) and James (Neena). Treasured Great Grandmother to Marissa, Conner (Brooklynn), Thomas and Brandon.
Bonnie was born and raised near Lucan, Ontario. After finishing London Normal School she moved to Bridgen to teach in an one room eight-grade school house. Here she met and married Ross. She continued her education while raising her family, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Western University and a Master of Education from Wayne State University. Bonnie led a very busy life helping on the family farm and teaching in the Brigden area for 31 ½ years. After retirement Bonnie and Ross travelled through out the world. Her passions were gardening, cooking (she always made the perfect rhubarb upside down cake), hockey and her family. She was also an active member of the Brigden United Church.
Her family would like to thank everyone who helped Bonnie remain in her home including: The HAM (Heather Andrea and Mercedes) team, Coni, Beverly, Laura, Jackie, VON nurses Bridget and Danielle, e-shift staff Scott, Shayne, Bonnie, Mary and Stephanie and Dr Kim. A special thank you to Holly who came weekly to do her hair.
VISITATION
Friends and family will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 6-9pm.
FUNERAL SERVICE
A private family funeral will be held at a later date with interment at Bear Creek Cemetery. DONATIONS
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Brigden United Church.

We were sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing. I have good memories of our cousin visits as well as your mom teaching me in Grade 5 at Brigden Public. May fond memories bring you comfort in your loss.
