KENNEDY, Sylvia Ann – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sylvia Ann Kennedy announce the end of a life well lived at the age of 87 on December 9, 2024 at Lambton Meadowview Villa. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate Donald Edgar Kennedy. She is the cherished Mom of Scott (Audrey) Kennedy, Paul (Linda) Kennedy, Jeff (Nancy) Kennedy, Kristine Kennedy (John Eamon), Bruce (Joanne) Kennedy, Kerry (Jim) Gardiner and loving Grammy to Emily (Mike) Ashley, Stephen (Ashley) Kennedy, Mark (Meghan) Kennedy, Heather Kennedy Redmond, Mike (Kelsie) Kennedy, Hayley Kennedy, Katherine Eamon, Luke Eamon, Eric Kennedy (Cori Barron), Alex (Victoria) Kennedy, Alyssia Dunn (Jake Wright), Rachel Dunn (Jordan Elnickie), William Gardiner and Great Grammy to Taylor Ashley (Jeremy Henderson), Nic Ashley (Alyssa Dunn), Harlow Kennedy, Khoa Kennedy, Bodhi Kennedy, Sloan Kennedy, Kullen Kennedy, Seth Redmond, Vanna Kennedy, Violet Kennedy, Ella Dunn, Josie and loving Great Great Grammy to Bennett and Blake Henderson. Mom was predeceased by her parents Eva & David Sim, her sisters and brother in laws Lois (Pat) Patterson, June (Bill) Hough and her brother and sister in law Don (Catherine Mae) Sim. She is also predeceased by brother in law Doug Kennedy and sister in law Shirley Sargeant. Mom was born in Etobicoke and had many stories of happy childhood memories with her brother and sisters. She worked as a legal secretary, met our Dad, her best friend and soulmate and began their family. They then moved to New Brunswick, building a house themselves and settling in Quispamsis where they continued to grow their family. Mom and Dad were highly involved in the community with Dad on Council and Mom the Commissioner of the Girl Guides as well as supporting the Kennebecasis Minor Hockey with Dad as President. We spent 15 amazing years in Quispamsis before the family relocated and eventually settled in the Sarnia area where Mom joined the Sarnia Artist Workshop and Lambton Wildlife. She always had a passion for art and nature and shared that passion with her family. Mom and Dad spent their entire lives dedicated to their family. They supported every event possible and loved each and every one of us and our children and grandchildren. When Mom lost our Dad it rocked her world beyond comprehension but being the amazing strong woman that she is she soldiered on and continued to support and love her family in every way possible. We would like to thank everyone for their love and support of our Mom with a special mention to the staff at Lambton Meadowview villa for their compassionate care during her final years. You are forever in our hearts Mom, Grammy, Great Grammy and Great Great Grammy.
