So very sorry for your loss Tammy. Scott & I enjoyed our visits at the Cove & Jon will be missed by many. Our condolences to you & all your family. Thinking of you all & you are all in our prayers.
Some of my fondest memories as a youth were spent with the Huey family at the trailer at Mitchell’s Bay when I was 11 or 12. Going out after supper with Jon & Jeff for a sunset boat ride, playing “hide & seek” in the hay mow when Jon got off work, playing crokinole at Christmas or racing around the pond in a game of “Cat & Mouse” on snowmobiles. Jon was a great guy to be around. He had a pleasant and easy going personality. My favourite funny story is when we were at Mitchell’s Bay and Uncle Walt told me that Aunt Mary’s middle name was “George”. Aunt Mary went along with the gag and I just couldn’t believe it! As soon as we got back to the farm from the trailer, I ran into the house before anyone else could get to Jon who was home at the time. This was in the days before cell phones and texting and I knew no one could tip him off and I could trust Jon to give me the truth. So I rushed in and asked Jon what his mother’s middle name was and lo and behold he answered “George”. Well that did it! I was convinced my grandma Phoebe had really given that middle name to Aunt Mary. I’ve had many laughs remembering the nonchalant and matter of fact way Jon said “George” that day! He was a great guy!
We will keep Tammy & the family in our prayers.
Love,
Mark & Lucille & Family
I am glad that I was able to visit Jon recently and spend some time with him. He and Tammy have always been so kind and gracious to me, just like his parents Mary & Walter. Tammy took good care of Jon and I will continue to ask the Lord to give her and the family strength to carry on.
“Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children.” Proverbs 14:26

Aunt Bonnie

Our long time friend Jon ♡ He will be missed
I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Jon. Every interaction with Jon was always a pleasure. He was always very kind in his words and was always very talkative. The last time I saw Jon was at his campsite around October 2 years ago we sat around the campfire relaxed and had a very nice conversation. I wish I’d been able to see him a lot more than I did. I will miss Jon with every day that goes by however he is still with us in spirit and will never be forgotten. He was loved and respected by all of his friends and family and will continue to live on in our hearts.
Jeff, Lynn, and all your Family,
So very sorry to hear of the loss of your brother.
