Hackett, Bryan

April 12, 1955 ~ April 8, 2025

picHACKETT, Bryan Gene – In his 70th year passed away at London Health Sciences – Victoria Campus on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Beloved husband to Norma Hackett for 45 years (nee Steadman). Loving father of Ryan (Lisa) Hackett, Rob (Ali) Hackett, Keri (Andy) Sharp. Cherished grandfather of Liam, Tyler, Leo, Luke, Logan, Gibson, Eddie, Hudson. Dear brother to Gwen (Nick), late Gary (Janet), Deborah (Leonard), Joel (Carol) and Jeff (Beth). Survived by his mother-in-law Marie (late Lyle) Steadman and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Predeceased by parents William and Betty Hackett.

Bryan was a dedicated Metallurgical Inspector with Nova Chemicals for 38 years, he thrived on providing the details and being thorough. Always a perfectionist, he was an avid hard worker completing countless DIY reno’s and rarely took a day off. He’s spent much of his last 10 years in retirement working away at the cottage in Point Clark completing various renovations and upgrades to the property; always in preparation for multiple family gatherings throughout the summer.

But his real passion for life has been spent watching his 8 grandsons grow up playing hockey and soccer and spending summers at the cottage in their matching swim gear he would get them every year. His grandbabies truly had an extra special place in his heart.

Bryan was a lifelong Red Wings and sports fan, always willing to watch a game and talk stats with his boys. He loved to tinker in the garage making repairs, organizing, refinishing old furniture and talking old Mopars. He had a real passion for cooking and cuisine in general and was always looking forward to our next family dinner at The Keg.

A private family funeral was held at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS.

Celebration of Life will be held at Brigden Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

Sympathy may be expressed by donating blood at a local Canadian Blood Services or by cheques to the Canadian Cancer Society.
