Grigg, William Edward, age 86 of Petrolia, passed away Friday March 6, 2009 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care, Sarnia.

William resided most of his life on the 8th Line of Moore Township.

Son of the late James and Belle (Fox) Grigg. Loving husband of the late Velma Ruby (Weston) Grigg (2001). Dearest father of Jim and Brenda Grigg of Sombra and Alymer Grigg of Petrolia.

Very special grandfather of Devin (Candace) Grigg, Trisha (Patrick) Grix, Richard and Joel.

Brother of Tom (Nora) Grigg of R.R.#1 Mooretown. Brother-in-law of George (Judy) Weston of Tupperville.

Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister Helen (Les) Green and brothers-in-law Lorne and Glen, and sister-in-law Marion Weston.

During his lifetime William was a police officer in Dresden, a farmer in Moore Township, he retired from Shell Canada (Sarnia) as a Catalytic Labourer after 36 years of service, and was a Life Member of Leopold Lodge #397 in Brigden.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received on Monday March 9, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME BRIGDEN.

SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
