  1. My sincere sympathy to Don, Mary Ellen, and their families.
I have many treasured memories of summer fun on the farm with my cousin Doris. With my Aunt Ilene, and my Dad, Charlie Matthews, being first cousins, Doris and I always thought this must surely mean, that we were definitely, double cousins, which was indeed, very special.
Being a City girl, it was always a grand adventure to spend time at the farm. I remember what fun it was to trek back into the woods, and round up the cows, who had gone astray, and bring them back to the barn for milking.
Another highlight was, to be there for thrashing day, when we would ride back from the fields, sitting high on the straw, in the horse drawn wagon, eager for the feast we would be treated to upon the return back to the barn.
They were good days, and never forgotten
    Rest In Peace Dear Cousin…
    Dorothy (Matthews) Hyde
