DOUGLAS, Donald Arthur- passed away peacefully in his 84th year where he resided in Petrolia with his daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Leo on Friday, June 19, 2009. Beloved husband for 58 years of the late Shirley Ethel Georgina (Taylor) Douglas (2004). Loving father of Richard (Donna) Douglas of Englehart , Elizabeth “Betty” (Fred) Smit of Sarnia, James (Jackeline) Douglas of Wilkesport, Ilyne (Dean) Wolsey of Sarnia, Sandra (Leo) Laur of Petrolia and Audrey Curran (Bob Jarvis) of Mooretown. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.Predeceased by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (Warren) Douglas, sister Margaret (Ernest) Andrew and infant son Bobbie. Survived by son-in-law Nelson Curran and several nieces and nephews. Donald was retired from Polysar after many years of service.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME Brigden on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00am from the funeral home.Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Interment in Bear Creek Cemetery.
