On Friday November 5, 2010, the Gates of Heaven opened, welcoming Lorna Core, age 88 of Brigden.
Lorna was the caring and devoted wife of the late Dean Core (2009) for 66 years. Together Lorna and Dean farmed at Shiloh until 1950 when they came to Brigden and bought the Ford Franchise, selling it in 1974.
Loving mother of Deanna, Danny (Janice) and Leona Seller.
Inspirational role model to her 7 grandchildren: Joshua (Erin), Jonathan and Eden Seller, Nicholas (Chantelle) and Ashley (fiancé Chris) Core.
Great-grandmother of London Dean Seller.
Survived by her brother Cecil (Audrey) Armstrong, brother-in-law Bill (late Phyllis) and sister-in-law Lecetta (late Paul) Core.
Predeceased by her parents John and Emma (Wright) Armstrong.

VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 am from the funeral home. Pastor Phil Whetstone of Colonial Woods Missionary Church, Port Huron will be officiating.A private family interment will take place in Bear Creek Cemetery.
