“NAN”
June 18, 1937 – November 6, 2023
Predeceased by husband:  Robert Cole – June 17, 2022
Nan’s connection to a large community of forever friends and family has reached the final chapter.  She was surrounded and comforted by her family. She is survived by her children Mark (Cheryl) Cole and daughter Judy (Bob), 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.  She cherished time with the “littles” and reminded them daily with “Nanny loves you very much”. Nanny’s birthday, June 18th is significant to our family.  She was married on her Birthday, her son Mark was born 2 years later on her birthday her daughter was married on June 18, and 2 of her grandchildren followed suit. It makes for a fun day with family. Nan’s legacy will be remembered by close friends and memories in her community.  Her love and care for the youngest to the oldest never wavered.  If you were hungry, sick, lost or just looking for a chat she could and would help. The farm was the gathering place for many years.  She nurtured fresh grown everything for dinners throughout the season.  Fresh treats, coffee, tea and beverage of choice were always available for those who dropped into “Nanny’s Café”. Nan could direct you to any location you wanted to get to.  Her ability to remember every road she had ever travelled was remarkable.  We were often left agaw when she could recall every back road between here and the east coast.  She was a news junkie.  She loved to able to discuss current events. We loved to hear her stories of who she was before she was our mom. Thank you all for enriching our “Nan’s” life.

Family and friends will be received at Petrolia Lions Club, 451 Huggard Street, on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations by the charity of your choice.
