CAPES, Mary Margaret – January 25, shortly before 8pm, Mary Margaret Capes, age 90 of Sarnia, formerly of Brigden, died peacefully at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care. Predeceased by her parents Robert Gordon Brown and Margaret, husband Bill, brother Doug, sisters Betty, Jean and Marguerite, and son Brad. She retired after 35 years from St. Joseph’s Hospital as a nurse in maternity, medicine and continuing care. She was a graduate of Sarnia General Hospital. Survived by sons Ted and his wife Bonnie, Cris and his wife Kim, and daughters Trudy and husband Karl Brand, Marni and husband Steve Sywak and Ronee Kathryn. Survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations made by cheque to Dunlop and Central United Church or Bluewater Health – Palliative Care.

Ted, Cris, Marnie and families. I remember your mom when you lived in Brigden many years ago. I’d see her often when I cut back through the alley to and from my Dad’s garage. Years have passed the memories remain. May God hold you close at this time.
