BRIGHT, Frances Lucille (nee Arnel) – Age 88, passed away at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia on Friday, October 20, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Eldon Lee Bright (2012). Loving mother of the late Laurane Frances (2018) (Robert) Knight. Cherished grandmother of Ellen and Jules White as well as 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Melvin (late Betty) Arnel, late Cecil (Marjorie) Arnel, late Ernest (Norma) Arnel, late Ellen (late Gary) Chambers. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Agnes (nee Bryce) Arnel.
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, Brigden on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the service time at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.

A Guide to Death Care in Ontario
I only met Franny at Meadowview Villa in July when I returned from the UK to visit with my mom for the summer months.
That first day she just rolled into my mom’s room unannounced shortly followed by a coterie of other ladies in wheel chairs. She filled the room with her presence, holding court by telling us about her life and asking us to guess her age. My mother is in late stage dementia so she expressed herself through dance whilst this went on.
We like to refer to that day as “the party in mom’s room”. It was a fabulous home coming, and as a result I found myself looking out for her so I could say hello on my daily visits.
I have returned now for an autumn visit and it is with great sadness I read of her passing on the home’s memorial board.
I just wanted to let the family know that Fran made a great impression with her vibrant personality and she was a really positive force for the other elders at the villa.

My condolences goes out to Ray and family. My mom and us are sorry to hear about Aunt Francess. Aunt Francess will be missed by my mom not speaking to her on the phone every other day or whenever they had a chance to talk. May you RIP.
