BILLETT, Linda Ann – passed away on June 11, 2024 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Gary Billett. Loving mother of Tammy Barker (Tony Steadman) and Murray Deneau. Special grandmother to Brittany (Colin), Payden (Cole) and Kiaya (Justin). Dear sister to Robbie (Joan) Kett, Sherry (Jim) Beaulieu and George (Tammie) Kett. Predeceased by parents William and Ursula Kett. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Linda devoted 32 years of her life to health care working midnights at Meadow Park Nursing Home, but most of all, to her three beautiful granddaughters. Linda made an impact everywhere she went, whether that was at Maple City Retirement Home, the grocery store, the neighbours she would watch through her window day in and day out (she had to know what everyone was up to). She even made an impact on the lives of the birds she watched outside the window everyday. She did all of that while being one of the most selfless, gratuitous, loving, and forgiving women you could have met. The good Linda did through her time as a PSW, and in her community really shows through how many people have nothing short of amazing things to say about her. Linda radiated joy when it came to bragging about her grand daughters, from Bittany’s marriage, Payden’s engagement, and Kiaya’s graduation being her last memory before she left us. We all know, if Linda had it her way she would be there for every last moment in her granddaughter’s lives, those three girls meant nothing short of the world to her…. well maybe besides Amazon. The family of Linda Billett would like to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of her journey through COPD the last 10 years. Beginning with all of the staff at CKHA, mainly Dr. Miller, Nicole from the ICU, Nicole Baillargeon, Jade Deryek, Sarah C from the medicine floor, all ER staff, her PSW Diane, Meg Rea, everyone at the Maple City Residence, all the Community Paramedics, and her favourite medic Tony Steady.
