MITCHELL, John Wilbert (Web) – Peacefully at CEE Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Brain) for 65 years. Father of Dave & Pauline Mitchell, Murray & Pat Mitchell, Ken and Liz Mitchell, Leonard & Josie Mitchell, Cathy & Ernie Hanson, Neil & Laura Mitchell, 31 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Sadly missed by brother Jim Mitchell, sisters Lil Hoskin, Marie DeKeyser, Betty Johnson, Reta McLean, Donna Oliver and Doris Storey (Ed), numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Andrew and Lillie (Welch) Mitchell, granddaughter Helen Bailey, brother in laws Joe Hoskin, Don Youngs, Earl Johnson, Jack McLean, Cliff Oliver; sister in law Sonja Mitchell.
Visitation
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
Funeral
Service
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00am from the funeral home. Interment to follow at Oil Springs Cemetery.

He and Shirley were special friends of my parents and spent many times together camping with a large number of other camping couples., pot luck suppers, square dancing and playing cards. Shirley and Mitchell family We are all sorry to hear of Wilbert’s passing. There were lots of great times spent between my dad (Fred Welch) and mom Helen whether it was at home or in Florida.
