MacPHERSON, James Edward – Age 69, of St. Clair Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family while maintaining his quick wit and sense of humor, on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved son of Margaret and the late Bruce MacPherson (2021). Loving father of Laura MacPherson (Jeff Bissell) and Lindsey MacPherson. Cherished grandpa of Marley, Bryce and Jack. Dear brother of Robert (Laurie), Marianne (Mark), the late Gerry (Carol), Lou and John (Jeri). Jim will be fondly remembered by his uncle Donald and aunt Teresa Young, his daughters’ mother Tracy MacPherson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Jim was a proud farmer and operated MacPherson Excavating and Trucking. He worked throughout the county completing a wide variety of farm, residential, township and industrial jobs. Jim was a member of the Moore Union Cemetery, a Moore Museum volunteer, involved with the township and an avid coffee shop visitor. Jim spent his winters at Recreation Plantation in Florida for over 25 years and could often be found at their maintenance building, helping others or working on golf carts, the friends he made there were like family and referred to him as Farmer or Jimmy. His family and friends always looked forward to his stories of the latest happenings and his one liners.

Jimmy was a special person and he will be missed by all, especially the Recreation Plantation coffee group.
His visits to residences were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone when he brought his canine companion “Sister” dressed in her holiday outfits.
Also, his ability to quote the price of corn or soy beans was uncanny and truly impressive.
My condolences to the family and rest in peace my friend!
I think I was around 8 yrs old when I first met Jimmy. He was digging the trench for Ross’ wall and I would come over after school, he always asked what I learned in school. The answer was always the same, nothing lol.
Spent many summers working with him at BWC and VIP rail, I knew I was lucky when he let me run his excavator!
I’d take the kids over to keep Sister company and we even tried roasting marshmallows on a few burning bush piles.
Jimmy would always call at least once a year to keep in touch and keep me up to date on the Florida oranges and golf cart deals. Haha.
My condolences to Rob, and all the family, I always loved my time with Jimmy!
So sorry for your loss! Sincere condolences.
