DAVIS, Hattie Ilene (McAuslan), a resident of Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 7, 2009 at the age of 96. Hattie was a daughter of the late Robert and Leva (Tully) McAuslan and the loving wife of the late Everett Davis (1979). She was the caring Mother and grandmother of Beverley and Catharine Davis of Courtright and their children Sherri and Brian Burm, Annette and Mike Sessler and Brian Davis; Betty and Bruce Bradley of Dawn Twsp. and their children Patty and Todd Unsworth, Karen and Don Kabbes; Joyce and Bill Holmes of Roseneath and their children Bonnie and Mark May, Lynn and Mike Curley, David and Donna Holmes, Danny and Robyn Holmes; Ila and Glen Dawson of Bright’s Grove and their children Jodi and Joel Campbell, Jill and Dave Manser. Hattie was the cherished great grandmother of Alexa and Josh Burm, Kamryn Sessler, Lucas Davis, Joe and Jake Unsworth, Jeff and Luke Kabbes, Benjamin May, Spencer, Danny, Charlotte and Michelle Curley, Christopher Holmes, Victoria and Kurtis Holmes, Max and Molly Campbell, Grace and Hattie Manser. Hattie is survived by her sister Jessie Coutts of Chatham and her sisters-in-law Dorothy McAuslan and Vivienne McAuslan. Predeceased by her brothers Robert “Gordon”, Stanley, Harold and Bill McAuslan, and her sisters Nellie McCarter, Lena Graham, Marguerite Lewis and Faye Webster. Hattie lived and worked on the family farm in Dawn Twsp. for many years. When she moved from the farm she operated a small general store across from the Gas Plant in Dawn Twsp. Hattie worked for several years at the Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home in Wallaceburg before retiring to Thompson Gardens in Corunna where she lived until 2007. She was awarded a 60 year membership pin in 2007 from the Naomi #39 Brigden Order of the Eastern Star for her faithful service.

Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME Brigden on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

EASTERN STAR SERVICE
An Eastern Star memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 6:45pm.

FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11:00am from the funeral home with Rev. David Black officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Sombra.
